About us

We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at the RSL Gurney Club, 1 Fred Ball Parade, St James at 7.45pm sharp.

Our membership comprises all size 4x4's with members ranging from novices to those with many years experience. Generally, we have at least one event/trip every month, from 1 day duration, weekend or long week trips, up to 10-14 days over the school holidays.

We offer encouragement and coaching to each other. We learn from our mistakes and try to pass that on. Not every vehicle can complete the same trip for various reasons. We try to allow for this with most trips having an easy way around any stage that you think is beyond you or your vehicle. More often than not you will be surprised at what you can achieve.

We have committee members who liaise with environmental bodies such as CALM and Waters and Rivers as well as State and National 4WD agencies.

To become a member you must attend at least two trips. You are then nominated for membership, which goes to the Committee for approval. Visitors are also welcome to attend our monthly meetings.
