Three groups met at Ampol, West Pinjarra, stopping briefly in Nannup, arriving at the property at about 5pm. Others arrived during the evening, getting settled quickly. Paul soon had an outside fire going for all to enjoy.
Saturday morning saw most of the group meet up in Nannup for coffee, before some went to Lewana Forest to try the muddy hills, others went Geocaching.

The Lewana group had four vehicles which included Jeff and Cam who travelled down for the day, giving Cam plenty of driving experience. They did a river crossing, and some of the tracks through the pine plantations. A hill they tackled was quite steep as they climbed it in their 4×4’s, driving amongst low clouds,

with spectacular views from the top. All enjoyed the driving, thank you Tony for the day trip.

The afternoon saw three trailer loads of fallen tree branches, from The Point and amongst the trees around The Neck, added to the fire. Friday evening saw Ross and his friend Dylan, plus their children arrive for the bonfire which was a roaring success, as it was dryer than previous years. The Mosedale’s cooked a rocky road damper. It rained a bit on Saturday but mostly it was a beautiful winters day with few clouds.
Sunday morning most people headed off at their own pace. I stayed an extra night, leaving Monday midday.
